The Program Manager will develop and coordinate program strategies to broaden and increase program capacity and resident impact for the Hope Through Housing Foundation. Primary responsibilities include program research and design, volunteer management, and data collection for program evaluation. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the President of Hope.



  • Research, develop and implement programmatic services and initiatives to meet Hope Through Housing's community impact goals in the areas of at-risk youth, economic mobility and senior health and wellness.
  • Develop and maintain processes and tools to evaluate program effectiveness that result in recommendations to leadership for program changes and improvements.
  • Develop and nurture a culture of volunteerism throughout the organization, including the regular use of individuals, groups, and interns.
  • Evaluate and improve data collection processes and collect necessary data for program evaluation and funder reporting requirements.
  • Provide monthly and annual programmatic updates.
  • Develop and oversee Hope's volunteer infrastructure, including proper volunteer screening and management techniques.
  • Work closely with Hope staff to develop and maintain positive relationships with volunteers and external groups.
  • Research and identify opportunities to expand AmeriCorps VIP and VISTA programs and the development of a robust internship program.
  • Assist and lead volunteer coordination for various Hope events and program activities.
  • Serve as an Ambassador for Hope through Housing and National CORE when attending meetings, special events, and all other public engagements.
  • Provide support for Hope's new and existing programs and events.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Hours could regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.



  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with internal and external audiences. Proven ability to effectively articulate clear and compelling messages.
  • Ability to develop and evaluate quality health and social service programs.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to meet deadlines.
  • High energy and ability to motivate others to respond to Hope's mission and activities.
  • Ability to represent Hope with excellence and professionalism within the community.
  • Ability to work with discretion and tact, and to exercise impeccable judgment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in written communications.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to, plan for, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with CORE/HTHF staff, public officials, private sector officials, parents, and community leaders.
  • A genuine interest in investing in the well-being of children, families, and seniors.
  • Must be able to interface well with other departments especially with Hope Through Housing Leadership and the Project Development team.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Strong computer, social media skills; knowledge of donor databases desirable.



  • Possess a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit, program development, volunteer management or a closely related field.
