About the Job:

The Asset Management Analyst reports to the Director of Asset Management and will be responsible for assisting with various functions related to the management of a large portfolio of affordable housing assets.  This full-time position will provide administrative support to the Asset Management department with the following essential functions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and maintain ad hoc and recurring analytical reports.
  • Review financial data including budgets, monthly & quarterly financials, and annual audits & tax returns.
  • Assist with populating property specific information into the asset management database by reviewing the partnership documents such as partnership agreements, regulatory agreements and mortgage loan documents.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for our external partners, complete partner specific reports and keep partner contact information updated in the database.
  • Complete welfare exemptions, Fictitious Business Name filings, and keep property business licenses current.
  • Prepare and process replacement reserve requests to cover planned capital expenditures across the portfolio.
  • Research rental market trends and operational analysis to prepare analytical materials for acquisition opportunities.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for financial reports.
  • Complete special projects as needed and other duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment.
  • Possess a high-level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business.
  • 4+ years of experience in real estate, accounting or related financial experience.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Operate computer and office equipment.
  • Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
