About the Job:

The Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for the coordination, preparation and analysis of all budgets for the company.  This position prepares regular periodic cash flow reports and various other analytical reports as may be required by the Company.  In addition, the Financial Analyst provides agreement tracking and workflow support (approximately 10-15 hours/week).



  • Coordinate, prepare and oversee the budget process for 70+ property budgets.  This includes working with Accounting, Property Management, Asset Management and executives to obtain completed and authorized budgets.
  • Coordinate, prepare and oversee the budget process for the corporate budget.
  • Work closely with Corporate Accountant to ensure financials are accurate and timely.
  • Prepare analytical reports, variance explanations, and other financial schedules for the Board of Directors Package.
  • Prepare the monthly Corporate Cash Flow projection. 
  • Prepare weekly cash report.  Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Construction Payable, and Staff Accountants to gather information for the report.
  • Monitor corporate financial performance by comparing actuals versus budget by department on a monthly basis and distribute to department heads and analyze accounts as needed.
  • Work with Project Development in order to prepare the intercompany receivables and revenue projection schedules.
  • Prepare quarterly real estate owned (REO) schedule.
  • Research and create Yardi custom reporting.
  • Assist in managing the agreement workflow process under the Manager.
  • Proactively liaise with various departments to streamline agreement negotiations and timelines.
  • Implement and maintain an agreement Master List.
  • Prepare special analysis and special projects on an as needed basis.
  • Participate in all company required educational and team building activities.
  • Attend Company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which, from time to time, may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.
  • Must adhere to the required work schedule established by the company to promote efficient operations.
  • Take initiative and work closely with management and other departments to identify enhancements to processes and assist in development of reporting.



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of two years experience as a financial analyst.
  • Proven abilities to handle multi-tasking responsibilities, while handling the demands of multiple staff members.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple requests while providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.  Yardi Systems experience preferred.



  • Operate computer and office equipment.
  • Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
